You're Not My GodA few years back, Paul co-wrote a song with his old pal Keith Urban - 'You're Not My God'. This song ended up on Keith's 'Golden Roads' album and we often do our own version of it when we're playing live. We've just posted an acoustic video performance of it online as a part of our 4 song 'unjammed' series with Take 8 Films. Check it out! Back to the NorthWe decided that we just weren't getting enough cold weather here in the south so we're heading back up north to get our fill...ha! Not really, but we are heading back up next month to do a few concerts. The first stop will be in Fort St. John, BC at The Lido Theatre on Feb. 22nd. The Lido is a historic building from the 1950's that used to be a movie theatre but has since been turned into a concert venue. We love those funky old places! The the next night, Feb. 23rd, we will be in Grande Prairie, AB taking part in 'Big Hearts For Big Kids'. This is a fundraiser for Sunrise House which is an emergency youth shelter for kids age 12 -17. We'll be joined by the host and founder of the event, Tenille, as well as Victoria Banks, Jason McCoy, Deric Ruttan and many more artists. This is a GREAT cause! After GP we'll be heading to Dawson Creek to perform at The Kiwanis Performing Arts Centre on Mar. 1st. We will also include a songwriting workshop for the writing community there. Should be a fun trip! Got the long underwear packed and ready to go! Yahoo! A Jeffersons ChristmasIt's Dec. 27th and all the presents have been opened and there are toys and boxes and paper still scattered all over the house! Days of preparation and then 5 mins of total mayhem at 6:30 am Christmas morning! It was pretty great this year though...Ivy was very curious about Santa coming and was very excited about the presents he would bring her. And he did just that! But the big thing this year was a doll house that Daddy made her and mommy made furniture for inside it (up 'till midnight every night for a week putting it together!). It was so awesome to watch her little mind get right into the make-believe with it and of all the toys she got it's the one thing she keeps going back to. A great memory for all of us! It's been really nice to have things low key around the house this week. Nowhere we really need to be...a lot of pajama wearing goin' on! Hoping to re-group and get rested up for the New Year. We are planning to start working on a new record so we'll be writing songs and getting everything together. We hope that you are enjoying your holidays as well and getting a chance to slow down a little. And we want to take the opportunity to THANK YOU for all the support you've given us this year! For coming to our shows, for buying our records and making it possible for us to do what we do! We really appreciate you and hope to see you in 2013! Wishing you peace, love, happiness and a prosperous 2013!! Lisa and Paul Stage ItWe want to let you know about something new we are trying out. We just connected with stageit.com which is an online concert venue. Artists can broadcast live online right from their own home! We think this is a really cool idea so The Jeffersons will be performing their first 'Stage It' concert on Dec. 17 at 8pm EST. We will feature about 25 mins of music from our new Christmas CD right from our home in Nashville, TN! Every person that wants to view this has to reserve a ticket and their is a limited number available so here is the link to get yours! Cold OutsideYes, it is cold outside...the weather has been warm this past week in Nashville but the temperature has finally dropped down and feels a lot more like Christmas! The tree is up, lights are on outside and my favorite part...got a fancy dancy brand new oven! Gonna be some Christmas cookin' goin' on over here!! If you haven't got your Christmas shopping done yet, there is still time to get our new Christmas cd, 'It's Cold Outside'. Makes a great stocking stuffer! If you want to check it out you can go to www.thejeffersonsmusic.com and listen to a sample of it. We'd love hear your comments so let us know what you think! Enjoy the holidays! |
